Mr Craig Roy

Mr Roy was appointed to the Board and as Chair in January 2019. Craig is the former Deputy CEO of the CSIRO, Australia’s pre-eminent national science and technology organisation. Craig has extensive experience in research and commercialisation strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship across a wide range of global projects and industry sectors. He has held various director and Chair positions in several prominent Australian organisations including Data 61, the Australian National Commission of UNESCO and of the University of Technology, Sydney Vice Chancellor’s Industry Board. He is currently the Chair of Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), and a Non-executive Director of Sydney Water and of Australian Composites Manufacturing CRC Limited.

Dr Michael Goldsworthy

Dr Goldsworthy received his PhD in Physics from The University of New South Wales. Prior to starting with Silex Systems Limited in 1988, Dr Goldsworthy was a member of the University’s academic staff and was involved in a number of laser-associated research projects. Dr Goldsworthy is the founder of the Company and has been the driving force behind the SILEX uranium enrichment project.

Mr Christopher Wilks

Mr Wilks has a background in chartered accounting and investment banking. He was previously a partner in a private investment bank and has held positions on the board of a number of public companies. He is Finance director of Sonic Healthcare Limited and a Non-executive Director of Independent Practitioner Network Limited.

Ms Helen Cook

Ms Cook was appointed to the Board in October 2021 and is principal of GNE Advisory Pty Ltd, a law practice dedicated to the global civil nuclear energy sector. Ms Cook has extensive experience in major nuclear power projects and transactions around the world, and is recognised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as a global nuclear law expert. Most recently, Ms Cook spent approximately 9 years (to 2020) based in Washington, DC and has extensive relationships with key US Government agencies and US nuclear industry groups. She is also the author of the highly regarded and authoritative book: The Law of Nuclear Energy.

Ms Julie Russell

Ms Russell was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer in 2012 and is also the Company Secretary. Ms Russell commenced her career in Public Accountancy and rose to the position of Senior Associate within a Chartered Accounting Practice. In 2006, Ms Russell was recruited by an Australian engineering enterprise in the Middle East to take on the role of Finance Manager in a new venture. Ms Russell is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor Degree in Business (with Distinction) from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from UNSW Sydney.

Dr Graetz was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in 2022. He is an experienced corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement, and strategic management professional, with extensive knowledge of the nuclear, energy, critical minerals, and defence industries. Dr Graetz previously was responsible for Government and International Affairs at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). Dr Graetz holds a Doctorate in Political Science and Business Management, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) from The University of Queensland. He also holds a Master of Arts by Research (Political Theory) and Bachelor of International Studies with First Class Honours from The Flinders University of South Australia, as well as a Certificate of Chinese Language from the Chinese Language Division of National Taiwan University.
